On January 1, 2022, I watched Jessie Itzler explain how he makes his years count.
One of his secrets was to pre-schedule a “day to remember” once every three months. You put “fun day” in your calendar, and then you make sure to do something substantially different and more adventurous when that day comes across your calendar.
Yesterday, I looked at my calendar and realized that my “fun day” was this Saturday so I called up my friend, and committed to doing something to remember.
We went to the park and asked people questions like, “are you happy,” and “what’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given.”
I’ve always wanted to do this for a long time, and honestly, this was the perfect excuse.
I highly recommend doing these two things: schedule “fun days” and commit to doing something out of the ordinary once every three months (at least), and go talk to random people. Most people are so nice, and have so much to share.
