What does it mean to be a woman?

I don’t think there’s one specific answer, but there is something to be said about deep femininity.

It’s not one-size-fits-all, and there’s not one way that it looks, but somehow, you can always tell when someone is in-touch with their femininity.

Something exudes from them.

Maybe it’s a spirit of openness. Maybe it’s acceptance and fluidity.

These are just guesses.

I’m really intrigued by femininity because every living thing in the world has masculine and feminine elements. There’s a yin-yang, a push-pull…a polarity…between things.

Taking out that polarity is detrimental to order.

Growing up in a family that did not deeply understand the feminine, it wasn’t something I could easily embrace.

After some reflection, I think I’ve been out of balance for a while.

I’m playing around with the thought that everyone has a different metric of masculine-feminine balance, but when they get there, they feel internally aligned and personally free.

Being a woman is weird, and I don’t know if it’s just me, but I don’t think there are many things that teach you how to lean into it well.

This is a personal journey I’m embarking on, but if I find anything helpful, I’ll be sure to document it.
